Our acclaimed Brighouse 1940s Weekend is approaching and we can’t wait to welcome you to our town with events, activities, fun & food.
Our streets will be filled with live music, bands, entertainment and stalls showcasing vintage products of the time along with vintage cars, rallies, funfair rides and heaps of things to do and enjoy in town.

By Car… Brighouse is perfectly located – just minutes off the M62 at junction 25. Road in the town centre will be closed for the event so we recommend using the 1940s Park & Ride, details below.
By Train… Brighouse is connected directly to London, Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford and Manchester by train and the railway station is within 10 minutes walk of the town centre. See more details about Brighouse railway station & timetables >>
By Bus… our bus station has connections locally, across Calderdale and around West Yorkshire from early until late every day of the week. It’s located in the heart of the town centre giving you easy access to everything Brighouse. See more details about travelling by bus to and from Brighouse >>
The best way to arrive at the Brighouse 1940s Weekend is by Vintage Bus from our Park & Ride on the outskirts of the town centre.

Both of these locations are just off the M62 at junction 25.
There will be a small charge for the journey of £10 per car to the heart of the town centre. Cash only please.
Please follow the yellow & black temporary signage to the car park and follow the instructions of the Rotary’s volunteer team.
The town centre itself is closed through the weekend, but all the car parks apart from Bethel Street remain open.
There are hundreds of spaces across the town centre in a mixture of council-owned and private car parks – but we anticipate they will be incredibly busy, so please consider the best way of getting into Brighouse.
Calderdale Council’s car parks within 5 minutes walk of the town centre have nearly 400 spaces, including disabled spaces and electric charging spaces, and you can see details of the council car parks here >>
We have got a great selection of places to stay in and around Brighouse – from hotels to bed and breakfasts, self catering to airbnbs.
